What is microdermabrasion, anyway?...

Microdermabrasion is a procedure that uses a fine jet of crystals to gently and painlessly exfoliate your skin while vacuum suction removes the crystals along with the dead skin cells. You are left with new, softer skin and a more even skin texture.
In addition to surface exfoliation, microdermabrasion promotes the production of new cells in the basal (deepest) layer of the dermis; it cleans the pores, and stimulates collagen networking that can further improve skin texture.
